KHYBER: The Landi Kotal subdivision assistant commissioner (AC) Niaz Muhammad said on Monday that all necessary preparations have been finalised to conduct free, fair and transparent election in NA-43, constituency of Landi Kotal-Jamrud in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
He asserted that a total of 18 candidates would contest for NA-43, where 182 polling stations have been established to assist 226,627 registered voters including 126,574 male and 100,053 female.
Out of the total, 98 polling stations would be established for male, 75 for female and nine combined. Meanwhile, 22 polling stations have been declared sensitive in the constituency where eight Frontier Corps’ (FC) soldiers would be deployed at each of them to monitor law and order situation while CCTV cameras would also be installed.
On the other hand, several candidates of different political parties have started to guide their supporters regarding the electoral process and distribute their respective vote numbers among them.
