KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) is facing difficulties while running their election campaign as ‘its banners, posters and flags have been removed from various parts of the metropolis’.

MQM-P local leaders claimed that a group of some people attacked their election office in constituency NA-239 and vandalized it.

MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that operations against MQM-P could not stop their political struggle. “Hurdles are being created in party‘s election campaign with an attempt to snatch mandate,” he claimed.

He said that an undeclared ban having been imposed on his party to keep it away from the election process, and added that the caretaker government was very active in removing MQM-P’s flag and banners but those of its rivals were not being touched.

He alleged the MQM-P was not given permission to hold public gathering in Liaquatabad, Bagh-e-Jinnah and others places while others political forces were being entertained differently.

It is to be mentioned that MQM-P was permitted to hold its public meeting at LiaquatAbad fly over at eleventh hour of July 22.

Siddiqui also complained that his party was given the mandatory permission for a public meeting in Latifabad (Hyderabad) too late.

MQM-P senior leader Aamir Khan said that they entered the election campaign with ‘their hands tied behind back’. He alleged that the MQM-P was not allowed to hold corner meetings in Karachi.

“These tactics cannot halt party movement‘s against injustice and MQM-p did not leave the ground open for the opponents by boycotting general election,” he said.

MQM condemns arrest of party workers and demand their immediate release, said Amir adding that authorities conducting general election should take measures to remove all the hindrances being created against MQM-P.
