The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued an advisory on its website for facilitation of voters going to cast vote in July 25 elections.

The commission has advised voters to use green ballot papers to cast vote for National Assembly candidates and white to vote for Provincial Assembly candidates.

The commission asked voters to bring original identity card (expired or valid) with them for exercising their right to vote. The polling officer would first cross check CNIC details with voters’ list.  Then the poling officer would take thumb impression of voters and mark the thumb with un-removable ink.

After the completion of the initial procedure, green and white ballot papers comprising the names and electoral symbols of candidates would be issued.

Cameras or mobile phones in the polling station would be strictly prohibited. Voters are also advised to cast their vote responsibly and confidentially.

Moreover, the ECP also advised voters to contact presiding officer of the polling station in case of any complaint, while polling staff and security staff have been asked to remain neutral during the polling process.

The polling would start at 8 am sharp and would continue till 6 pm without any break.
