PHP team arrests 89 criminals, recover valuables, drugs, illegal weapons

The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) team arrested 89 culprits including 36 proclaimed offenders, four court absconders and recovered valuables, drugs, illegal weapons from them while rendered help to 2,329 commuters during last week.

According to details, the PHP team recovered 400 kilogrammes unhygienic chicken after arresting Naeem Akhtar. In another case, the PHP patrolling team found a bag with Rs 11,830, a mobile phone worth Rs 20,000. The PHP team traced the owner and returned the bag to him after fulfilling the legal procedure.

The criminals included Hafeez, Saeed Ahmad, Ab Rashid, Sajjad Hussain, Manzoor Hussain, Sadiq Hussain, Shahbaz, Jahangir, Khalil Ahmad, Zafar Hussain, Nazar Hussain, Tanveer Ahmad, Rafiq, Ajmal, Imran, Ghulam Hussain, Tanveer, Saifullah, Ghulam Shabir, Amir Abdullah, Faqira, Kalu, Aqeel Abbas, Haroon Ahmad, Ihsan, Zakir Hussain, Aslam, Imtiaz, Kamran Khan, Zeeshan Haider, Talat Adnan and Asghar.

Similarly, PHP team also arrested 23 culprits namely Abdullah, Khalid, Rasheed, Usman, Amjad Saeed, Hakim Ali, Ejaz, Khalil, Nauman, Wasim, Waqar Masih, Jamal, Arif, Azam, Ashraf, Wahab, Allah Dita and Hamid Ali by taking into possession 217 litre liquor and 4,465 grams hashish.

Separately, the PHP team arrested 25 culprits namely Tariq, Hassan, Arshad, Munir, Awais, Anwar, Bashir, Umar, Ghulam Murtaza, Naseem Khan, Nusrat, Arif, Abdullah, Ali Raza, Javed, Muzaffar, Rizwan, Faisal, Ansar and Ishtiaq on possessing illicit arms and recovered 19 pistols, five guns, a Kalashnikov, 12 cartridges, 128 bullets from their possession. The PHP team also recovered six missing children Tauqeer, Muniba, Rehan, Adnan Javed, Adeel and Shoaib.
