Nation, army to stay resolute against terror: COAS

Chief of Army Staff General (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa on Sunday said the nation and the army would stay determined and steadfast in the face of cowardly acts of terrorism.

Expressing grief on the martyrdom of Ikramullah Gandapur in a suicide attack, the army chief said, “We have lost another patriotic political leader.”

He said the politicians were being targeted by enemies of peace and democratic process. He said blood of the martyrs should not go waste. Former minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Sardar Ikramullah Khan Gandapur was martyred in a suicide blast in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday.
