PILAP released these rankings on its social media page on Friday. The ranking evaluated the plans of the parties and candidate for the future and then determined if they were satisfactory, good or excellent.
Nasir’s manifesto received 70% score, followed by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) with 66%. On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) received a score 63% while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) got the lowest ranking at 52%.
The criteria on which the manifestos were judged included access to justice, access to water, public interest, education, access to health, transport and communication, security to minorities, women and children, police reforms among others.
Responding to the rankings, Jibran Nasir on his official page wrote: “We are proud of our team for its efforts, vision [and] understanding of issues and are grateful to policy experts who served as mentors. The journey begins with one.”
The PILAP rankings also pointed out that Nasir’s manifesto did not contain any plans for transportation, communication and restoration of the local bodies. Any plans for promotion of culture and heritage were also not included in the manifesto.
Moreover, the rankings found that the manifesto of PPP did not include any plans for ensuring people’s right to information.
