Three dead, seven injured in road accidents

At least three people died and seven others got injured in separate road mishaps in different areas of the metropolis on Sunday.

The police said that man hailing from Quetta and identified as Haji Dawood 70, died while his sister Aleeqa 60, was seriously injured in collision between two vehicles near Manghopir canal.

A 45-year-old unidentified person died while his five-year son was critically injured after a car hit motorcycle at Northern Bypass. Police said that a speedy car knocked down a bike at Northern Bypass in Karachi.

According to the police, the father died on the spot in the accident while his five-year-old was critically injured. The car driver fled the scene. The body and injured were moved to hospital for medico-legal formalities.The police impounded the car and after registering a case against the driver at large have started the efforts for his arrest.

A 30 year-old man was crushed to death by unknown vehicle at Lyari Expressway.

Five people including Abdul Rehman, Rashid Ahmad and Ali 23, were injured in separate incidents of collision between at Port Qasim, Karsaz Shah Faisal and Shahrah-e-Faisal.

The bodies and injured of all incidents were shifted to different hospitals for medico-legal formalities and the police, after registering separate cases at relevant police stations have initiated the investigation process.
