DADU: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and candidate for NA-234 Liaquat Ali Jatoi on Sunday asserted that the general public of Dadu would bring change by exercising their democratic right to vote for PTI candidates in the district.
Reportedly, he addressed a public gathering on Sita Road and denounced political rivals for ruining the district and looting the resources of Sindh in the name of development projects. He further said that the culprits would be held accountable for committing massive corruption after upcoming general elections.
Jatoi said that the general public was expressing towards Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) as Asif Ali Zardari had occupied it.
“After forming the next government, PTI would improve the medical facilities, and in this regard health cards would be issued to the people while farmers’ card would be introduced for peasants to enable them to boost agricultural sector in Sindh,” he said adding that Benazir Income Support Programme would continue to benefit the poor masses, but funds would be raised to support more poverty-stricken families and the payments would be delivered to their homes in the form of cheques.
“The PPP candidates could not even visit villages in their respective constituencies for electioneering,” he said while criticising PPP candidates’ initiative to deliver solar panels and hand pumps to the villagers as part of their election campaigns. He further vowed to grant employment opportunities to the talented youths of Sindh, and expressed hope that PTI chairman Imran Khan would be the next prime minister of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the chief of Sodhar tribe and former PPP leader Dr Rashid Mumtaz Sodhar announced to join and support PTI along with his supporters. Besides, the former chairman of subdivision Mehar Unid Jatoi, PTI candidate for PS-83 Ihsan Jatoi, PTI candidate for PS-84 Sadaqat Ali Jatoi, Dr Talat Mahisar, Syed Zaffar Ali Shah, Sardar Ashiq Ali Zour, Dr Bandah Leghari, Dr Nazeer Ashraf Leghari and Dr Khalil Ahmed Khunharo also addressed the public gathering.
