ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyam Aurangzeb Thursday vehemently condemned the blast in Defence, Lahore.

In a brief interaction with journalists in Islamabad, she urged the media to exercise caution and restraint while reporting the incidents of terrorism and not proliferate and embed fear and confusion among people, which she said was fulfilling agenda of extremists.

She, however, appreciated the role of the media for demonstrating a great sense of responsibility and expressed hope that it would continue in the same vain. “The print and electronic media is a protagonist in lifting the determination and strengthening the resolve of the people of Pakistan and our brave sons and daughters fighting against the agents of terror,” she added.
