One dead as PPP convoy attacked in Khairpur

KHAIRPUR: A people’s Party worker was killed and ten others were injured when armed persons attacked convoy of party candidates of NA-210 Javed Ali Shah and PS-32 Nawab Wasan at Pir Jo Goth town of khairpur on Sunday.

According to detail, Sayed Javed Ali Shah candidate of NA-210 and Nawab Khan wasan of PS-32  were leading a big rally crossing  Pir Jo Goth, some unidentified armed persons attacked the convoy and fired upon their rally and broken the mirrors of vehicles that resulted death of Yasir Kalhoro, the PPP worker and  ten PPP activists were injured. Sayed Ali Shah, Nawab Khan and Khuda Bux Shambani are among injured persons.

Meanwhile, some armed persons attacked on the rally of GDA candidate Dr.Abdul Sattar Rajper PS-34 near village Jan Muhammad Rajper left  5 activists of GDA ijnjured. The  injured GDA workers were brought to  Mehrabpur hospital for treatment.

After incident rangers and police reached on the spot and controlled the situation.

The PML-F leader and candidate of GDA for PS-32 Sayed Muhammad Rashid Shah told news men that PPP activist fired upon the GDA workers .

PPP candidate Sayed Javed Ali Shah alleged that GDA activist attacked  their peaceful rally in which ten people among him were injured and they were shifted to Khairpur and Sukkur hospital.

However, It has mentioned that due to alarming situation all 788 polling station of district khairpur were declared sensitive’s during general election which are scheduled on July,25.
