Bilawal censures fatal attack on Ikramullah Gandapur

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the suicide attack in which PTI candidate Ikramullah Gandapur and his driver were martyred on Sunday.

Earlier today, PTI candidate Ikramullah Gandapur was martyred after a suicide bomber targeted his vehicle in DI Khan’s Kalachi tehsil. Gandapur and his driver were rushed to the hospital but succumbed to wounds hours later.

The PPP Chairman condemned the attack and expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of Gandapur and his driver and sympathised with the members of the bereaved families.

Bilawal also announced to hold special prayers during scheduled political activities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to mourn the martyrdom of the PTI candidate.

Bilawal said that terrorist attacks on candidates was a conspiracy and stressed the need to curb and eliminate the terrorism.

The PPP Chairman also condemned firing on the vehicle of JUI-F candidate Akram Khan Durrani and urged the authorities to provide protection to the contesting candidates.

Jamiat-Ulema-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Durrani was targeted for the second time when unknown assailants fired upon his vehicle in Bannu. The ex-KP CM remained unhurt.
