Behave yourself PTI; these are elections, not war: Saad Rafique

Author: News Desk

The former minister of Pakistan Railways and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Leader Khawaja Saad Rafique on Saturday during a press conference said, “Please remember these are elections not war. Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) should stop their workers who are persistently abusing and fighting with our workers when they pass by their election campaign.”

PMLN Leader Khawaja Saad Rafique lamented, “Our voters and supporters are being arrested and facing different cases which are being registered against them but despite all conspiracies, the voters of PML-N are committed. No one can affect our vote bank. We will give better results than the 2013 elections because the voters cast their vote on ideology and the silent majority will vote for PML-N on July 25,” he added.

Former railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique further said that, “Our party and voters have high morals and no one wants delay in election.”

Khawaja Saad Rafique insisted the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice against the expenditures which PTI is spending on their election campaigns.

Saad claimed, “PTI Chairman Imran Khan is holding flop rallies and despite paying a huge amount to people, PTI has unable to fill seats in their gatherings. The actual face of Imran Khan has been exposed in front of the old workers of PTI.”

The former railways minister criticised PTI for its abusive politics and said the usage of foul language to target opponents would give nothing to PTI.

Regarding the general elections, Saad was of the opinion that PML-N accepts the authority of the presiding officers deployed at the polling stations on July 25.

“Within a single day, PTI is putting up 30,000 posters everywhere,” he remarked while addressing media in Lahore, and said the ECP should probe the matter.

He further said that the media should be allowed to access the polling stations on the election day, in order to ensure the polls are conducted in a transparent, free and fair manner.
