Health Dept issues notices to 15 employees to explain political involvement

LARKANA: The Government of Sindh health department secretary Dr Muhammad Usman Chachar on Saturday ordered 15 employees of the department to submit a report till July 24 containing overall complaints and reviews collected from the monitoring officers who monitored the use of Government functionaries, resources and manpower in political activities.

Reportedly, Chachar ordered to issue show cause notices to the medical officers and nurse staff including dermatologist Dr Manan Bhutto, Dr Shagufta Abid, DHO DEO Riaz Ahmed Kalwar, Shikarpur lady health workers (LHW) district coordinator Dr Salim Pirani, lady health supervisor coordinator Mir Hasan Kolachi, senior medical officer Dr Faqir Muhammad Shah, Kalhoro DHO Naushehro Feroze Dr Mazhar Ali, medical officer Dr Moosa Jan Sarhandi, DHQ dental doctor Dr Ghulam Mustafa Malah, Tando Muhammad Khan, Dr Aslam Chutto, Lal Bux Chutto, Shamim Ara Golani and Ghulam Muhammad Junejo. The directive further said that the employees would be called in the headquarters to explain their involvement in the political activities.

MMA candidate campaigns door-to-door for votes

The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) candidate for NA-200 Rashid Mahmood Soomro on Saturday conducted a door-to-door election campaign in Naundero, and urged the general public to vote for him.

Reportedly, he addressed many corner meetings and said that the people of Larkana would write a new history by stamping book and star in Sindh.

“People will soon get rid of Zardari’s league, which had committed massive corruption and looted Sindh’s resources,” he said adding that he and his associates have destroyed and ruined the party of martyrs. He pledged that after winning the upcoming election, he would improve education and health sectors in Larkana, and called them ‘vital factors for any society to progress and prosper.’
