Independent candidate from Faisalabad commits suicide: Police

FAISALABAD: An independent candidate Mirza Mohammad Ahmed Mughal, who aimed to field the polls from NA-103 and PP-103 constituencies, committed suicide on Saturday, the police reported.

According to the police, Ahmad Mughal shot himself dead after an alleged dispute with his son.

The deceased electoral symbol was pickup van. His election campaign poster shows that the independent candidate was hopeful of winning the polls.

On the other hand, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to postpone elections in the NA-103 Tandlianwala constituency.
