Home Dept asked to deploy Rangers for LHCBA polls

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court authorities have asked the Punjab Home Department to deploy paramilitary forces to ensure foolproof security during annual elections of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) scheduled on February 25.

In this connection, the Lahore High Court authorities held detailed deliberations with the Lahore High Court Bar Association’s leaders in which it was decided to seek Rangers deployment on the Election Day of the LHCBA in the wake of recent spate of terrorism. The authorities had written a letter to the home secretary to make necessary arrangements in this regard.
