Author: Staff Report

KARACHI: In a mysterious move, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered cases against Sajid Ali, cameraman of Abb Takk News who had leaked the video of channel’s notorious program “Khufiya” (Hidden), in which female anchorpersons were seen entering forcefully the house of a person and also slapping a female there.

Channel’s report Kamran Mahnas also claimed that FIA has registered a case against him also.

Manhas has informed that FIA officials on Thursday mysteriously conducted a raid on the house Sajid Ali.

“There were no any lady official accompanying them and male officials entered the house and searched it, took Sajid Ali’s wife’s cell phones with them and also arrested him,” he said. Cameraman was later released after three hours of investigations.

“We are right and Ab Takk owner are trying to harass us, but we will not bow down against their pressure,” said Manhas.

On other side, FIA director, Asim Qaimkhani, while talking to Daily Times over telephone confirmed that FIA had raided the house and arrested Sajid Ali. “We had received an application from the authorities of Abb Takk channel that their former employee has stolen some of the videos and is using them to defame the channel, after which we conducted the raid and arrested him .

FIA has confiscated some videos from his custody, which are sent for forensic analysis. “We have released him but a case has been registered against him,” said Qaimkhani.

On a question, he said that FIA is ready to take action against Abb Takk News if someone gives an application against them.

It is permanent to mention that Pemra has put on ban on all such programs which violate the integrity of limits of any household. Reports of certain channels blackmailing people through such programs is also on the cards.
