Customs seize smuggled Iranian diesel in Larkana raid

LARKANA: The Anti-Smuggling Squad of Pakistan Customs posted in Larkana Division and customs check post, Jacobabad, on Friday seized 50,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel on a tip of worth approximately Rs3.5 million led by Incharge Inspector Aziz Ahmed Katpar.

Aziz Ahmed told newsmen that the LPG bowser carried LPG to Quetta and after unloading it, filled smuggled diesel in the tank.

He said that the vehicle was coming from Quetta and was destined for Punjab when it was suddenly raided.

The vehicle was also impounded at customs warehouse in Sukkur and the cost of the vehicle is also said to be eight million. Further investigation is underway.
