KARACHI: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari announced that operation “Radd ul Fasaad” would be successful in eliminating the terrorism in the country.
According to sources, he asserted this during the meeting with Syed Khursheed Shah who called on him at Zardari House, on Friday.
During the meeting, current political situation of the country including matters pertaining to current wave of terrorism in the country, operation ‘Radd ul Fasaad’ and establishment of military courts were discussed.
Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grave concern over the non-implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) and stressed the need to implement on it with true spirit adding that terror incidents would not be happened repeatedly if NAP is implemented. Ironically the incumbent government did not pay attention towards it.
He mentioned that he hopes that the new operation ‘Raad ul Fasaad’ would be succeeded and terrorism must be eliminated as PPP and people of Pakistan would favour it.
On this occasion, Syed Khursheed Shah added that PPP has always raised voice against terrorism in parliament and expressed his resolve to raise this issue on every platform.
According to reports, interviews have also been conducted from the candidates aspiring for various party posts and party reorganization. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be making the final announcement on the selection of candidates.
