FAPUASA elects members of its executive council in IIU

KHAIRPUR: The Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Associations (FAPUASA) held an election for electing its representatives for the year 2018 at the International Islamic University (IIU), a public university in Islamabad.

Reportedly, the FAPUASA members elected the Shah Abdul Latif University Teachers Association’s (SALUTA) general secretary Prof Dr Ikhtiar Ghumro as the member of the executive council of FAPUASA Sindh chapter, and Prof Dr Jamil Kazmi as the Sindh Fapuasa president.

Besides possessing leadership qualities Dr Ghumro is a vibrant, passionate and vocal member of the teaching community of SALU in Khairpur.

He is well-known for his straight forward opinion and playing an active role for raising critical issues of the teaching community.

Meanwhile, the SALU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Parveen Shah lauded his selection as a good omen for the teaching community.

The SALUTA office bearers including Prof Dr Amir Chandio, Prof Dr Abdul Hussain Shar, Prof Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah, Dr Hisam Shaikh, Ahmed Memon and others congratulated Dr Ghumro and Dr Jamil on the occasion while expressing hope that the FAPUASA representatives would strive efficiently for securing the rights of the teaching community.
