Marriyum wants ECP to ban Imran’s ‘inappropriate’ speeches

Erstwhile information minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb Tuesday demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to ban what she said inappropriate speeches of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

In a media talk, Aurangzeb said that the cricketer-turned-politician had been using the same language for the last five years.

Referring to the arrest of former premier Nawaz Sharif in Avenfield properties case, the PML-N spokesperson said that he (Nawaz) returned to Pakistan to get arrested.

“Nawaz Sharif was not even provided with a bed in jail,” she said.

The PML-N leader said that the party hoped the appealed would also be heard as swiftly “as the [Avenfield] verdict was given”.

She also said they would complain ECP about a video showing some people removing PML-N’s banners.
