KHYBER: Jamiat Ulema-e Islam (F) leader and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) candidate for NA-43 Mufti Ijaz on Tuesday urged the district administration to open Zakha Khel tribal area for electioneering as election campaigns were being carried out in other parts of Khyber. While addressing the media in Landi Kotal press club, he said that the pro-Taweed-ul-Islam candidate was carrying out election drives smoothly in all parts of NA-43, but did not let anyone else to carry out campaign in market area of Zakha Khel.
“The market area of Zakha Khel has more than 30,000 registered voters, and the election results would be tainted, if other parties were not allowed to campaign there,” he remarked. “JUI-F has presented its 25-point manifesto to the general public of NA-43, and the points mainly focus on the critical public issues,” he said while expressing hope that his party would secure victory in the constituency.
