Garbage in Quetta

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Quetta is the capital city of Balochistan and it is suffering from many kinds of problems. One of them is the garbage that can be seen strewn around the city at all times. The major issue here is that the litter collecting vans don’t visit that often, and as a result a lot of the garbage seems to be either left on the side of roads or in a large heap in vacant plots.

This situation is not ideal for the residents of the city, as it is not only unhealthy, but in certain areas the garbage has even managed to block roads. I request that the Balochistan government does everything in its power to rectify this problem, and ensure that the beautiful city of Quetta remains clean for years to come.
