LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Friday presided over a high-level meeting to review the situation of law and order in the province.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said, “Enemies was conspiring to spread unrest in the country and we have to get united to foil their evil designs.” He said the current extraordinary situation demands extraordinary measures and the law enforcement agencies will have to work with more determination for the protection of life and property of the citizens.
He said that action against such elements should be taken at every place indiscriminately. “Protection of life and property of masses is a top priority of the government and Afghan localities should be thoroughly checked and a vigilant eye must be kept on suspicious persons,” he added.
A report on the DHA blast was also shared at the meeting. According to the report, “The incident occurred due to cylinder blasts and according to investigations, no evidence of explosive material was found from the site.”
