MIANWALI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) broke all records of corruption during their respective tenures in the past 10 years.
“It is my responsibility to make the public aware about the problems faced by the country, of which corruption remains top of the list. PML-N and PPP broke all records of corruption during their tenures,” Imran said while speaking to a rally in Mianwali.
Taking jabs at PML-N lifetime supremo Nawaz Sharif, Imran said that politicians loot the country’s resources and transfer them abroad so their children living overseas can lead a luxurious life at the cost of poor people of Pakistan.
He also asked those in attendance to question PML-N regarding their performance if they come to ask for votes.
Referring to the spike in the value of US dollar, Imran said that 10 years ago, the dollar was valued at Rs60 but corruption and poor policies of the Zardari and Nawaz governments have resulted in devaluation of Pakistani rupee.
