PTI, GDA to hold joint-power show in Umerkot

HYDERABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) will hold a joint-power show in Umerkot on Tuesday.

PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ghosia Jamait leader Pir Pagara, GDA and Hur Jamait head and former Sindh CM Arbab Ghulam, GDA leaders Zulfiquar Mirza, Fehmida Mirza, Nusrat Sehar Abbasi, Ayaz Latif Pallejo and Kishan Chand Parwani would address the public are expected to address the public.

According to organiser Wali Muhammad Maher, around 5000 police youths, 1000 retired Hurs,  2000 female Hurs would be deployed for security. Moreover, 200 by 300 wide stage was setup, 200 acres area is set for public and around 2 lac people would attend the rally, who would also be served meals.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Umerkot information secretary Burhan Kunbhar slammed the rally and termed it as a spiritual gathering rather than political one.

He added that there can never be an alternate of PPP. The workers and supporters of Pir Pagara and Arbab Ghulam are not supporting them under a political vision, rather they are spiritual slaves who do not have a choice of their own.
