PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) senior leader Ghulam Ahmad Bilour stated, “Taliban are not involved in the attack on Haroon Bilour,” however claimed, “Our own people, who have benefited from this murder, are behind the incident.”

Ghulam Ahmad Bilour is late Haroon’s eldest uncle, who survived the suicide attack, and is contesting polls from NA-35.

While talking to the media, ANP leader said, “Although Tahreek-e-Taliban took the responsibility for the attack, whereas, he (Ghulam Ahmed) believes that the there are some other forces who have benefitted from this incident.”

Ghulam insisted that he does have proof of what he was saying. ‘What benefit Taliban would have by killing Haroon Bilour?’ ANP leader questioned.

“I am sure there are our ‘own people’ who have benefitted by the attack,” he further stated.

Bilour was confident that their party will win election from PK-78, the constituency of late Haroon Bilour.
