ANP candidate injured in an attack on his Dera

CHAMAN: Awami National Party (ANP) candidate from the district Chaman, Balochistan, the former provincial minister Engineer Zamrak Achakzai’s dera (guest house) came under fire leaving central vice president and former senator Duad Achakzai wounded.

According to Levies officials the firing incident took place at Pir Alizai area of Qila Abdullah. The wounded were transferred to a hospital at Quetta for medical aid.

After opening fire the accused ran away from the place of occurrence.

Whereas, the police started their search operation.

It should be noted that Eng. Zamrak Achakzai is the candidate of ANP from PB-21.

As 2018 Elections are approaching, there seems to be a surge in the rise of attacks on political parties and their candidates. Haroon Bilour from ANP and Siraj Raisani from Balochistan National Party(BAP), along with more than 160 victims have lost their lives to terrorism. Whereas many have been wounded. Before that Akram Durrani’s convoy was also attacked at Bannu.
