Islamabad police recover abducted man held for ransom

The Islamabad police on Sunday recovered a man abducted for ransom in the federal capital a couple of days earlier.

According to details, armed men abducted Saad Awan from Sihala police station jurisdiction on Friday and demanded Rs 2 million from the family of the abductee for his release.

However, Superintendent Police Rural Liaquat Hayat Niazi constituted a special team for the recovery of the abductee which investigated the case on scientific lines and succeeded in locating him. The police raided the criminals’ den in the city and recovered the victim safely.

Senior Superintendent Police Najeebur Rahman Bugvi has appreciated the police performance and announced for a commendation certificate for the team.
