Police detain political activist for violating ECP’s code of conduct

NAUNDERO: The Naundero police on Sunday detained a political party’s activist Muhammad Khan Shaikh for violating the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) code of conduct while lodging an FIR against him under Sound Systems Regulation Act.

Reportedly, Shaikh was playing a political party’s songs at high volume on his tractor.

Meanwhile, following the directives of the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Shabir Sethar, he was arrested and his tractor was impounded.

Woman dead, three injured in road accident

A woman lost her life while three people were left injured when a Suzuki Van rammed into a motorcycle near Agani Laro in Naundero on Sunday.

Reportedly, Siddiqa, wife of Soomar Agani, died on the spot, whereas Uzma, Ajmal and Amir sustained critical injuries.

Consequently, they were rushed to Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for treatment.
