Pak-China friendship stands on mutual trust, respect: Sartaj

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to PM on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said on Saturday that friendship with China was based on mutual trust and respect, terming it the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

“Our strategic cooperation is an anchor for regional peace and stability,”he said while talking to a Chinese delegation led by Ambassador Lu Shumin. “Pakistan adheres to one China policy and supports China on all issues relating to its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity including Taiwan, Tibet and Hong Kong.”

Ambassador Lu Shumin condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan and lauded the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan and its security forces in its fight against terrorism and extremism. He also praised the pace of projects under CPEC.
