BAHAWALPUR: Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Director General Saba Mohsin Raza said Radio Pakistan’s Sautul Quran Channel will start its transmission from Bahawalpur soon.
Addressing the staff and artists of Radio Pakistan during her visit on Saturday, she said Radio Pakistan is playing its role for the promotion of national harmony and cohesion among the people. She said Radio Pakistan has educated people about socio-economic, cultural, educational and religious issues. She said Radio Pakistan has a largest network across the country to cater to the needs of people‚ particularly in far-flung areas. She lauded the services of Bahawalpur staff for the promotion and preservation of the centuries-old heritage‚ customs‚ traditions‚ music and literature of Cholistan and southern Punjab.
Deputy Controller News Sajjad Pervez briefed her that the Bahawalpur Radio Pakistan was broadcasting two Urdu and Seraiki news bulletins daily.
