Terrorists will not win: Askari

LAHORE: Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr Hassan Askari said on Saturday that Mastung and Bannu blasts are a conspiracy of anti-Muslim elements to destabilise the country but the nefarious designs of the enemies of Pakistan to spread unrest in the country will not be allowed to succeed.

Caretaker Punjab CM Dr Hassan Askari while strongly condemning the Mastung and Bannu blasts said that those spilling the blood of innocent people are in fact enemies of humanity and “these blasts are evil conspiracy against Pakistan”.

He said that the interim Punjab government equally shares the grief of the families of the victims of the blasts and deeply sympathises with them. He said the Punjab government is standing with the families of the victims and expressed solidarity with them.

Dr Hassan Askari said that the Pakistani nation has faced terrorism with courage and bravery and it will again face terrorism with the same spirit if need be. He said the people of Pakistan have written a new chapter of history through its unparalleled sacrifices in the war against terrorism, adding that each every countryman is in the grip of deep grief and sorrow over loss of precious human lives and the whole nation shares the grief of the families of the victims.

The caretaker chief minister said the nation will always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs.

He said terrorists are cruel enemies of the humanity and such coward acts of the enemy cannot shake resolve of the nation to end terrorism.

“Terrorists are our enemies but we will not let tragedies shake our resolve,” Hassan Askari said.
