Author: Staff Report

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain reached Peshawar and offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of martyred Barrister Haroon Bilour.

PMLQ President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain met with Ghulam Ahmad Bilour, Ilyas Bilour and Daniyal Bilour. On this occasion, Javed Nasim was also present.

Afterwards, while responding to queries from the media, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said he has heard about former PM Nawaz Sharif has been lodged in A Block compound of Adiala Jail.

He said he has come to Peshawar only for condolence and he is deeply aggrieved over martyrdom of Haroon Bilaur.

“We share the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family and pray for their patience,” he said. On a question from media if the elections will be held or not, Shujaat Hussain said, “I do not know whether elections will be held or not but whatever is happening now should not happen.”

Replying to another question about how Nawaz Sharif is being kept in Adiala Jail, Hussain said that there are 11-12 different cells in this compound of A Block of Adiala Jail.

“In the cell, in which Nawaz is allegedly being kept, I was also in this same cell and so was former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani, whereas Captain Safdar has been put in the same cell as former deputy PM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi,” Hussain informed, adding that Maryam Nawaz has been lodged in the same cell in which former PM Benazir Bhutto was kept.

Separately, on Saturday, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has said that innocent people in electoral rally in Mastung, Balochistan, were all drenched in blood and were breathing their last, whereas in Lahore, seated in an air-conditioned vehicle, former chief minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif was inciting people towards lawlessness.

He said this while addressing different delegations, big gatherings and media in Gujrat.

Pervaiz Elahi said that incidents of terrorism in electoral meetings are regrettable.

“We share the grief and sorrow of Bilour and Raeesani families and pray for patience for the bereaved families and early recovery of the injured persons,” he said.

On the occasion, Elahi was accompanied by Chaudhry Safdar Mumtaz, Chaudhry Zahoor Sahi, Chaudhry Azhar Warraich, Irfan Zaka Sindhu, Haji Muhammad Siddique, Hassan Inayat Sindh, Ghulam Rasool Shariq, Tariq Muhammad Butt and other leaders.
