Sir: Education is the most essential ingredient for the development of a nation. It is an undisputed fact that nations which have reached the heights of development and prosperity have done so by using education and information.
Education is simply an investment to achieve both human and economic development. Unfortunately, education is probably the most neglected sector in Pakistan. The education system of Pakistan is rotten to the core. This has caused numerous problems in Pakistani society to fester and become more difficult to correct. They include gender discrimination, poverty, unemployment and religious bigotry.
Without education, we will never be able to fix the problems facing our country. If we are to recover from the endless political and economic upheaval that continues to rock our country and stop terrorism once and for all, we will need to educate our children.
