Pakistan is a developing country. According to the international trends and standards we lag behind the developed countries. In Pakistan, having a sports bike of your own choice is still a bit difficult because all the major companies such as: Kawasaki Motorsports, Yamaha, KTM, Harley-Davidson, Ducati and Honda are not promoting their hyper sports and cruiser bikes units in Pakistan. There are some corporations like Shah Motorsports and Xtreme Motorsports that are importing all brands in Pakistan but obviously their prices are too high for the local user.

If the aforementioned companies officially launch their products in Pakistan as registered outlets, then it would be really enhanced and better opportunity for the local users and heavy bike-user community in Pakistan. But the situation is different in here; I believe most of the heavy industry companies don’t witness a good future in Pakistan and that’s because of the global image of Pakistan as an unimaginative and less resourceful country. These circumstances are creating a lot of problems for the locals.

Now, for instance, ‘If someone wants to buy a heavy sports bike, then one has to import it and that costs almost three times more than the original price of the product due to the importing charges, labor cost, registration in Pakistan and custom duty. Now comparing it to a different situation: if we will have official outlets of these companies then the local user would pay globally set prices by the company. In this situation the local user will be  beneficiary in addition to it this will contribute to the economic growth and help increasing the labor in our country.

However, we have some brands available in Pakistan like Benelli, Keeway and Aprillia. These are some of the brands promoting their products in Pakistan.

Benelli is an Italian brand founded in 1911 and is owned by QianJiang group. Recentley, Benelli Tornado-300 has received an immense response from young Pakistani generation. It has become a good choice for many motorsports enthusiasts.

Aprillia is also an Italian brand founded in 1945 and is owned by Piaggio Vehicle Manufacturer. This company is also officially launched in Pakistan recently.

Well, if we see the globe around us, there are some countries which are far more ahead of us in terms of sports bikes industry. Yes, I am referring to ‘India’. India has an immense level of heavy industry, installed and working productively and also profitably contributing in their economic growth, increased labor and an immense foreign investment. Mumbai, Pune, Bangeluru, Gurgaon, Dehli and Gujrat are some of the major areas of Indian heavy industry.

Like youngsters of any other country, Indian young generation has  massive craze for automobile: sports bike and cars. I am telling you it as per my research of some social media pages and some YouTube channels.

I must say that these companies are more eager and wiling to launch their brands in India and one of the important factors is that they see India as a more resourceful country.

Almost, all the international sports automobile brands i.e. Kawasaki, Ducati, KTM and even the most exclusive brand ‘Harley Davidson’ are officially launched in India because these brands see a brighter future in Indian market. I have to mention here that these super bikes are available in Pakistan but through some dealers but not officially and they charge  a huge price which is not everyone’s cup of tea.

Since 1970, Honda Motors launched Honda 70 cc and then in 1976 they launched Honda 125 cc and till now we are using these two models. In India they have more super bikes than us

My question is, why the outlets are not being run in Pakistan? What is the mistake of a local user is paying double and triple prices to own a super-bike? Why our government and economic instability is not facilitating Pakistani to have favorite bike?

This is an unfortunate notion that in Pakistan we lag behind in motorbike industries. Yes, there is some progress but that is globally not countable and we have a long way to go and to develop our country’s industry and its resources.
