Children can be heard screaming and running away after claiming they spotted a goblin near their football pitch.
The bizarre animal-like creature was spotted on video and can be seen creeping towards the youngsters as they played.
The boys are now too scared to play on their makeshift pitch after their encounter with the odd beast.
They ran off towards their homes in the Don Bosco III neighbourhood in the city of Santiago del Estero in the northern Argentina, and have vowed not to return.
Local media also described the strange figure as a goblin and reported that the children’s parents said that they were too frightened to return to their pitch to play football.
One mother described it as a “paranormal pshenomenon”.
Goblins are monstrous mythical creatures first mentioned in European folklore in the Middle Ages. They are usually described as small and grotesque, mischievous or evil, and greedy, especially for gold and jewellery are believed to often have magical abilities.
