The greenback closed at Rs 121.45 for buying and Rs 121.65 for selling with a gain of 05 paisas in interbank.
The domestic unit is likely to remain under some pressure in couple of coming weeks because of dull influx of remittances while banks are maintaining to meet their demand, which would likely keep rupee in firm zone.
The euro closed at Rs 141.83 for buying and Rs 142.03 for selling, closed flat in value.
The pound sterling closed at Rs 160.16 for buying and Rs 160.36 for selling. It remained flat.
Kerb market: The domestic unit closed firm in the open currency market. The US dollar closed dull by 25 paisas to stay at Rs 123.75 for buying and Rs 123.95 for selling, from previous session’s level. Earlier in the day it was trading at Rs 123.77 for buying and Rs 123.96 for selling.
The pound sterling closed at Rs 162.50 for buying and Rs 162.70 for selling, it stood dull by 50 paisas.
The euro closed at Rs 143.50 for buying and Rs 143.70 for selling. It remained down by 25 paisas on dull demand.
