Survey for launching public transport service up to new airport completed

RAWALPINDI: Survey has been completed in respect of new route and bus terminal has been completed for providing state of the art public transport service to the citizens upto New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA).

An agreement in this regard has been reached between district administration of Islamabad and Rawalpindi while the transport service would be launched from August, 14 2017 for NIIA. During the first phase, 50 Air conditions buses would be run while 50 more would be added in the second phase.

Three routes have been allocated for the buses. Route No 1 will start from DHA phase 1, route No 2 from Liaquatabad, while route no 3 would start from Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
