Nawaz’s press conference

Author: Daily Times

Sir: I thought that would be a big uproar on current affair programs on TV last night after Nawaz Sharif’s press conference yesterday. However, it looked as if our media houses had received instructions to downplay it.

This was an important, potentially historic speech. Much more important than Nawaz’s ‘mujhaykyunnikala’ rally on GT Road, which received quite a lot of attention. This is because it is quite possible that we might not see another speech or public appearance by Nawaz and his daughter for a long time.
