CTD arrests three suspects in Karachi, weapons seized

KARACHI: Three suspects were held by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi and a large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from them.

Senior Superintendent police CTD Umar Shahid while addressing a press conference said “We received a tip off about a possible arms and ammunition of the London wing belonging to a political party being moved to a graveyard”

Upon notice, the CTD team sprung into action and apprehended three suspects and a lot of arms and ammunition.

The suspects in custody were identified as Anwar Hussain, Asif Mumtaz and Khurram Shehryar.

Six Kalashnikovs, an LMG, six repeaters, 5 handguns, two 7mm rifles and a large amount of ammo was recovered from this operation.
