Begum Kalsoom Nawaz opens her eye after a month

LONDON: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz confirmed that her mother Kulsoom Nawaz has regained consciousness at the Harley Street Clinic in London on Thursday.

Wife of former PM Nawaz had been in serious condition since last month after she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Nawaz and his daughter Maryam are currently in London and are expected to return on July 13. They will be reportedly arrested upon their arrival in Pakistan due to their sentencing in the Avenfield Reference verdict.

She was diagnosed with lymphoma (throat) cancer in august 2017.
