A young boy dies as Indian troops open fire

SRINAGAR: On Wednesday, a Kashmiri boy was martyred with a couple of other peaceful protestors who were injured at the Kupwara district by firing of Indian troops.

The martyred young boy has been identified as Khalid Ghafar Malik, 22 year old, who was shot in the throat and was rushed to a nearby hospital where gave in to the wounds.

The incident triggered anti-India demonstrations through out the region.

On Thursday, the entire area was shutdown in Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Baramulla against the civilian killings.

The Joint Resistance Leadership commenced the strike with the support of Kashmir Economic Alliance and Kashmir Traders Manufacturers Federation. Everything was shut down from shops, to government and private offices.
