‘It’s time to improve upon the farming sector of Pakistan’

Author: Staff Report

Considering the yield and productivity related challenges faced by small hold farmers, it’s time to introduce improved and innovative farming practices. The reliance on traditional farming not only affects agricultural yields but also proves to be more time consuming and less efficient.

These remarks were shared by University of Agriculture Research, Innovation & Commercialisation Director Dr Zaheer while receiving the manual seed planter by Monsanto Pakistan. He further added, “Academia and industry can collectively play an important role in helping the farming community overcome these challenges by facilitating the adoption of modern and advanced agricultural practices.”
