LAHORE: A Former Premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law caption (r) Safdar have filed a petition in Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday against the Avenfield verdict.

The petition was filed through the advocate A K Dogar and according to the petition, the three times elected Prime Minister (PM) of the country is being punished on the basis of a law voided after the 18th amendment, so the decision of Accountability Court (AC) should be dismissed.

Earlier this week, Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Caption (r) Safdar are sentenced 10 years, 8 years and 1-year imprisonment respectively.
