Monsoon downpours expected in next 48 hours

According to the Pakistan Meteorological (Met) Department, Pakistan expects monsoon downpours in upcoming forty-eight hours.

Punjab, Azad Kashmir, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may face heavy rainfalls.

Met department said, ” North Balochistan is struck with Seasonal Low with its trough extending southeastward. A wave from the west is affecting northern areas, while near Kashmir and its adjoining areas, weak monsoon currents are penetrating,”

Whereas humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir may go through thunderstorms and rains, while Karachi will remain cloudy with rare chances of rain.

The temperature during the next 24-hours is expected to range between 33 degree Celsius to 35 degree Celsius, with 59 percent humidity in the air.
