Open market: The dollar remained up against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 124.20 for buying and closed at Rs 124.30 for buying after 10 paisas upward variation in value and stood at Rs 124.50 for selling. The euro remained dull versus the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 145 for buying, and with Re 1 change in value it closed at Rs 144 for buying and at Rs 144.20 for selling. The pound remained down against the rupee as it started the day’s trading at Rs 164 for buying, closed depressed by Re 1 for buying and closed at Rs 163 for selling.
