Secretariat of committee on dams’ construction established in Islamabad

Following the Supreme Court’s historic judgment of July 4, 2018 to expedite the construction of two critical dams namely Diamer Basha and Mohmand, a secretariat has been established at Islamabad for the Implementation Committee of Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dams.

Water & Power Development Authority Chairman Lieutenant General (r) Muzammil Hussain will serve as the chairman of the committee, whereas Ministry of Water Resources Joint Secretary Syed Mehar Ali Shah has been appointed as the committee’s secretary.

The first meeting of the committee has been convened at its secretariat on Thursday.
