‘The Power of Positive Thinking’ — how a positive attitude can do wonders

Author: Imran Badeer

The Power of Positive Thinking is a self-help book by Norman Vincent Peale. In this book, the author makes use of positive case histories and practical instructions to propose the method of positive thinking.

He talks about the supreme tendency of positivism and negativism where the communities and the authorities are in deficient ambitiousness aspiration.

Every aspect of the topic at hand is thoroughly discussed by the writer and this thoroughness helped make The Power Of Positive Thinking a bestseller.

The author says that while the success of businesses is a good omen it also creates competition and professional jealousies which harm the community at large.

The book describes the purity of a positive attitude and provides a practical guide to joyous living, as Dr Peale constantly exemplifies how positive attitude can perform miracles in your daily existence.

He describes with clarity the process to put positive thinking into action and the strong power of belief and to learn from your own mistakes. Dr Peele believes that faking enthusiasm works wonders in helping an individual gain self confidence and enables them to move beyond pain and suffering. Positive thinking can also help to lift depression and live a vital life.

The Power Of Positive Thinking, is entirely based on the idea that ignoring negative thoughts and injecting positive thoughts can easily change and improve a person’s mindset.

According to the writer, negativity is a tendency to do the opposite of what one is requested to do; or to resist stubbornly for no apparent reason; a symptom most commonly seen in catatonics and toddlers.

Negativity is a side effect that may weaken a human’s positive senses leading to instability. The strong leading power of negativity leads to sufferings and could be a threat to the cooperative relationship of groups.

The reason behind being negative stems from bad ambitions which create bad thoughts. If we observe the symptoms of a healthy human being, they seem to think positively despite their negative thoughts, as their healthy mindset does not allow them risk their well-being. Positivity is one of the most helpful weapons to stimulate a culture for several generations.

It is painful that humans are not immune to negativity, despite it being so prevalent in the world.

The author really needs to be appreciated for writing a novel that convinces people to abandon negativity and welcome positive thoughts which can create a new generation to act like friends.

The writer is a teacher at DELTA
