PSG launch £239m bid for Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho

French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are willing to spend big this summer again as they launch a £239m bid for Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho.

Last year, PSG brought Brazilian superstar Neymar from the Camp Nou to Paris for a world record fee of £200m, making Neymar the most expensive footballer in the world.

This time around, they have another Brazilian star, Philippe Coutinho, in their sights and are willing to spend more on him to convince Neymar to stay at PSG.

Neymar has offers from big clubs, including Barcelona’s fierce rivals Real Madrid and if Cristiano Ronaldo decides to leave his current club, a move could be possible.

Will PSG be a second-time lucky?
