Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday said his elder brother and former premier Nawaz Sharif worked day and night to serve the country.

Addressing a party workers convention, the former Punjab chief minister said that the Avenfield verdict itself said that no corruption was proven against Nawaz.

“Nawaz and Maryam are returning to Pakistan after bidding farewell to Kulsoom Nawaz,” he said. The PML-N president also slammed opponents for hurling fake accusations against the party, calling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan a liar. He said that Imran had failed to fulfil his promises he made with the people.
